Reed was born and raised in New Orleans, where he started deejaying at the age of 16. He spun there until 1991, when he moved to Connecticut and continued to work as a DJ, travelling back & forth to NYC to study the talents of influences like Junior Vasquez, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales and Danny Tenaglia. In 1996, Reed established New York as his permanent home and since then has enjoyed spinning in the company of many other DJ legends and inspirations. During his 20 years of DJing, Reed has remained true to his musical roots. He studied music theory at an early age and was trained for the opera & musical theatre, as well as choreographic design. His scholastic achievements resulted in a degree in radio, which continued to fuel his love for music. With a vast collection of records & CDs spanning over 3 decades, Reed's style is an eclectic blend of club genres, including progressive house, tribal, electronic, circuit, hi-nrg, soul and classics. He has also gained a reputation as an accomplished video editor, with his works being seen in clubs all over the world. The culmination of his experience has led him to the point in is life where production is now his passion as well as deejaying.

Reed maintains regular appearances in New York and the US for major events, as well as abroad. His production work is a testament to his ability, not only as DJ/producer, but also as a songwriter. He has been in the industry for 20 years, and has only recently decided to take his career to the next level, which is performance. Be on the lookout for his upcoming collaborative project entitled eMpulse, with single & video releases in 2007, and an album to follow.
